Barock project

Barock Project

Barock Project came to life in 2003. The band’s aim was to combine the perfect structure of classical music (mainly baroque music) with modern rock, adding some jazz harmonies and an underlying pop structure.
The band’s intention was to revamp a love for '70s progressive rock music. The mastermind behind the project is the band’s founder and keys player, Luca Zabbini, a trained pianist and composer. His love of the late Keith Emerson (ELP) has forever been the driving force behind his desire to compose and play a full range of styles, from classical to rock and jazz.
Between December 2007 and March 2012 the band released three albums, including the successful "Coffee In Neukölln".
With this album the band decided to switch all lyrics into English. The album was nominated in the Prog Awards 2012 for best album.
In 2015 Barock Project joined the ‘ Stars of Italy’ management team and finished recording its 4th best selling album, “SKYLINE”. The band released a double live cd “VIVO” (May 2016). The album highlights the band's ability to perform its songs brilliantly to a live audience.
In September 2016 Barock Project welcomed new team members guitar wiz Giacomo Anselmi, drummer Andy Bartolucci and guest vocalist Alex Mari.
With this line up Barock Project did a sensational performance at Progdreams Festival 2017. Considered by many as an absolute highlights.
Their new album Detachment is breaking all previous sales and review/ratings are solid 4 to 5 stars.
Mr Bowler is over the moon to represent this fantastic band in Holland!
